Popcorn Chocolate Bar (2-Ingredients, No Bake, Easy Snack)

Florencia Baldini Florencia Baldini Last Updated on April 20, 2026

I love this one because it ticks all the boxes — quick, no baking, minimal clean-up, and that perfect balance of salty popcorn and rich dark chocolate. It’s also a great option when you want something sweet in the freezer ready to go, rather than reaching for ultra-processed snacks. The crunch from the popcorn combined with the snap of the chocolate is just sogood.

And the best part? You make everything straight in the bag. No bowls, no fuss, just mix, flatten, chill, and slice

Why This Bar Is A Better-For-You Option

There’s a viral trend going around at the moment pairing crisps like Pringles with melted chocolate, and while I completely get the appeal of that sweet and salty combo, I personally couldn’t bring myself to recreate it — it’s just not something that aligns with how I like to eat or share recipes with you. So I took that same idea and gave it a Healthyfloflo twist. This version uses simple popcorn, which is a whole grain and naturally high in fibre, paired with dark chocolate that’s rich in antioxidants and far less processed than typical chocolate snacks. You still get that addictive crunch and balance of flavours, but in a way that feels more nourishing, more satisfying, and made with real ingredients you can feel good about.

Tips & Hacks

  • Use good-quality chocolate: The flavour really comes through here, so a 70% dark chocolate makes this feel rich and satisfying without being overly sweet.
  • Don’t overheat the chocolate: Melt in short bursts and stir in between to keep it smooth and glossy.
  • Coat evenly: Take a moment to really shake and massage the bag so every piece of popcorn is covered.
  • Flatten well: Pressing it down firmly helps the bars hold together once set.

Swaps

while higher percentages give a richer, more intense flavour.

Salted popcorn: Unsalted works too, but you may want to add a small pinch of salt to keep that sweet-salty balance.

Storage

Fridge: Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

Freezer: Keep in the freezer for up to 1 month. Enjoy straight from frozen for the best texture.
