Sometimes cravings hit for something warm, comforting, and a little indulgent — like a crumble. But traditional crumbles can be loaded with refined sugars, butter, and lots of calories. That’s why I wanted to create a healthier version that still feels like a treat but uses wholesome, simple ingredients. This Breakfast Berry Crumble is exactly that — made with just 4 ingredients, naturally sweetened, and packed with fibre and nutrients from oats and berries. It’s quick to make, ready in 10 minutes, and perfect to enjoy alongside some creamy yogurt for a balanced start to the day. Pairing this crumble with yoghurt makes a complete breakfast — combining carbs, protein, healthy fats, and probiotics to keep you energised and satisfied throughout the morning. It’s a delicious way to start your day feeling nourished and balanced.
What I love most about this crumble is how it satisfies that pudding-like comfort but without any guilt. No refined sugar, no heavy butter — just pure, honest food that nourishes your body and tastes delicious. It’s proof that healthy can also be indulgent and easy. If you’re looking for a wholesome breakfast that feels like a treat, give this berry crumble a try.

Tips
- Use frozen berries straight from the freezer, they are such a great budget-friendly option.
- Defrost berries slightly in the ramekin while you prepare the topping
- Mix peanut butter and honey well so the crumble binds together nicely
- Add a pinch of salt to balance sweetness and enhance flavour, it’s a simple tip that works with most bakings!
- Let it cool for a minute before serving to avoid burning your mouth
- Serve immediately with yoghurt to enjoy the perfect warm-and-creamy combo
Swaps
Oats: swap with gluten-free oats.
Peanut butter: swap with almond butter, cashew butter or sunflower seed butter
Honey: swap with maple syrup, agave nectar or date syrup
Frozen berries: swap with fresh berries or mixed frozen fruit like cherries, raspberries or blackberries
Yoghurt: I love to use Greek yoghurt, for a boost of protein but you can swap with plant-based yoghurt or your favourite yoghurt.
Storage
For best texture, enjoy fresh.
Storage: Store leftover crumble in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat gently in the air fryer or oven before serving.
