Nut & Seed Clusters

These crunchy nut and seed clusters are dangerously moreish – once you try one, it’s hard to stop! They’re the perfect mix of sweet, salty, sticky and crunchy, made with just a handful of wholesome ingredients. I love how easy they are to make – just stir, bake, cool and break apart. That’s it. No special equipment needed.

What makes these clusters even better is the variety of nuts and seeds packed into each bite. They’re full of healthy fats, fibre, and plant-based protein, making them a great way to boost your nutrition throughout the day. Cashews, almonds, pumpkin seeds and sesame seeds all bring their own benefits and textures, and the maple syrup binds them together into delicious little shards.

Whether you enjoy them on their own, crumble them over yoghurt, or pack them in your snack box – these bites are super versatile and feel like a treat without being overly sweet. Plus, they’re naturally gluten-free and refined sugar-free. This is one of those recipes that’s so simple, you’ll want to make it on repeat.

Ways To Enjoy It

These clusters are perfect as a grab-and-go snack, but they also make a crunchy yoghurt topping or smoothie bowl sprinkle. I also love keeping a little jar in the car or my handbag for a quick energy boost.

Try it over a bowl of Greek yoghurt with fresh berries, or crumble a few over porridge for extra crunch and healthy fats.

Why Nuts And Seeds

Including a variety of nuts and seeds in your diet is a simple way to support heart health, improve digestion, and boost your intake of essential nutrients. According to Heart UK, nuts are naturally cholesterol-free and rich in unsaturated fats, making them a great daily addition to a balanced diet.

Tips

  • Let Them Cool Completely: The mix firms up as it cools. If you try to move it too soon, it’ll crumble rather than cluster.
  • Uniform Thickness: Spread the mixture into an even, compact layer before baking to help it bake evenly and hold together.
  • Don’t Skip the Salt: That little pinch of salt really enhances the caramel flavour from the maple syrup.
