Big Mac Salad served in a bowl with lettuce, cheesy beef mince, sliced pickles, and yoghurt burger sauce, sprinkled with sesame seeds – a low-carb, high-protein meal.

Big Mac Salad – Low-Carb, High-Protein

Ingredients
 
 

For the sauce

  • 200 g Greek yoghurt, 0% Fage
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tsp ketchup
  • 2 tsp mayo

Spices

  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp pickle juice, or more if you like a tangy kick!

For the mince

  • 250 g lean beef mince, 5%
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 50 g cheese, shredded

For the salad

  • ½ head lettuce
  • 6 small pickled cucumbers, sliced

Optional toppings

  • sesame seeds
  • extra cheese

Instructions
 

  • Spray a non-stick pan with oil and heat on medium. Add the chopped onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook until softened and golden.
  • Add the lean mince to the pan, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until fully browned.
  • Just before serving, stir the cheese into the hot beef mixture until melted and creamy.
  • Add all the sauce ingredients to a jar, close the lid, and give it a good shake until smooth. Taste and adjust pickle juice or salt if needed.
  • Add the shredded lettuce to a large serving bowl.
  • Top the lettuce with the hot, cheesy beef, add sliced pickled cucumbers, drizzle with the yoghurt burger sauce, and sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Add extra cheese if you're feeling indulgent!
